Now it's time to rant..

"Portrait of a Girl" is something I've been working on for around a week now, and I've spent A LOT of time on this. Initially I started this as a digital painting practise but I got so caught up in it that I decided I wanted to display it. This is the first digital painting I've done that actually even looks slightly realistic. I know it's not perfect, I know I have a long way to go, but I'm really proud that I could get this far.. when I started I never even thought I could paint it.. and I never expected this! (Yes yes.. not perfect.. I know )

Anyway, I'm happy with the results.. everything is as is.. I could have gone much further with the image but I liked it this way.

This is completely painted.. the stock was used as a reference only and did not exist on canvas after the initial sketch. If you have a look at the original image, you'll notice this looks a fair bit different. Similar, but different.

Criticism and comments welcome.. but please don't knock it.. I've worked really hard and I'm happy with it.
